Principal's Message

Welcome, Leavenworth Pioneers! We are excited to kick the school year off with the opening of our new programs, Third Avenue School and QUEST 1821. Both programs offer a variety of opportunities for our students and community. With the belief of preparing students to be involved citizens, we offer a variety of opportunities to incorporate students within the community and providing authentic experiences for your child. With a staff dedicated to serving the individual needs of every student, we are excited to see the gains that our students will make.  We welcome family and community involvement.
This is my seventh year as a proud Pioneer, and I can say there isn’t anywhere better to be. I have served terms at David Brewer Elementary, West Intermediate, and Leavenworth High School. Currently, I am pursuing my Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Baker University. I am excited to continue to serve our students in our new programs at the Nettie Hartnett Education Center.
I look forward to building partnerships with you and your family and providing opportunities for growth in our students. Please feel free to follow us on Facebook at
Serving Proudly,
Rebekah Varvel
